Freedom Rise Miniature Galloways invites you to a field day that will be held in September.
Venue: Freedom Rise Miniature Belted Galloway Stud,
12340 D’Aguilar Hwy, YARRAMAN S.E. QLD
Date: Sunday 8th September 2019
Cost: $10 per head for members of a Galloway Association (Australian Belted Galloway Association, Australian Galloway Association, or Galloways Australia), and $15 for others, and children $5. Morning and afternoon teas and lunch will be provided.
Whilst the final schedule for the day is being worked on, the main sessions have been organised. These will include ear tattooing and basic breaking and halter training. If anyone has any particular items that they would like us to touch on, please let us know as soon as possible and we may be able to sort something out.
Our field days have proven to be great networking opportunities; representatives from Galloway Family studs from as far afield as Victoria have attended past events. This will be a great opportunity for those new to the breed to meet a few of those people who have been breeding Galloways and Belted Galloways and other small breeds for many years.
We have decided to have 2 lucky door prizes this year. The first is for all attendees, and the second will offer a special prize for members of a Galloway cattle association.
Before our last field day, we asked if anyone had any animals for sale, and then made a listing available for those attending on the day. We asked for pictures, pedigrees etc. and then compiled the list for people to look at. This resulted in the sale of a bull and some heifers/cows and we would like to do this again for this field day.
