2016 Annual General Meeting
Dates:
The dates for the Field Day and 2016 AGM are:
- Field day – Friday, 14 October,
- Farm visits – Sunday, 16 October
- Forum, AGM and dinner – Saturday, 15 October, and
Orange has a wine festival starting 16 October 2016 for one week and an Ag Fair starting 22 October 2016 for two weeks. Some breeders may wish to stay on for part of the wine festival. It looks very interesting with master classes and all manner of activities for the everyday wine lover. There is also lovely boutique accommodation for those who like to spend a small fortune on accommodation which may or may not be already booked.

20 rooms have been reserved, being a combination of single, twin share and doubles. Breakfast is not included in the cost of the room. Breakfast can either be room service or in the restaurant.

Field Day
The field day will be the property of John Blackwood. It will start at 9.30 for a 10am sharp start on Friday, 14 October, break for lunch (during which if we are fortunately enough John Blackwood may give an impromptu talk about his organic structure and his methods and techniques), to finish around 3.30 to 4. Catering will be by CWA or CFS. Numbers will be limited on a first come first served basis.
Topics will include:
- a demonstration of washing, blowing and clipping,
- why clip,
- structure,
- fitting,
- ringcraft,
- ettiquette in the ring,
- nutrition,
- plus titbits on the side throughout the day.
This will be open to schools in the area including a couple of disabled children who are quite capable and the other Associations. There will be a booklet available to be bought for $35 which will give a comprehensive overview of the day and the funds will go back to further education
Forum and AGM
Forum: 11am
Lunch: 1pm
AGM: 2.30pm
Parking is available at the rear of the conference venue
Lunch will be served in the conference room being gourmet open sandwiches with cured meats, seafood and salad, with a fresh seasonal fruit platter, freshly brewed coffee, orange juice and a selection of teas at $18 per person (attending members to purchase lunch)
Dinner: 6.30pm
Cost is $52 per person
Meals are an alternate drop and are served with bread rolls and tea/coffee
It is a fully licensed cash bar so each member will be responsible for their own drinks
The menu is:
Main course:
Salmon fillet, asparagus, potato gratin, cafe de Paris butter
Beef tenderloin, mushroom and prosciutto ragu, red wine jus
Dessert:
French lemon tart, double cream, raspberry coulis
Bailey’s creme brulee, almond biscotti, strawberry confit
