At the 2017 Wingham Beef Week, Merv Presland’s 2 un-led steers placed well in the Heavy Domestic 250-299.5kg class. They were judged using the Australian Beef Carcase Appraisal System (ABCAS) and gained 80.40 and 80.19 respectively. They placed 10th & 11th in their class. One steer was a Belted Galloway X Charolais and the other a Belted Galloway X Angus.
